Distillation


Distillation is a process of separating the components of a mixture based on their different boiling points. In space and astronautical engineering, distillation is used to purify water and other liquids, as well as to separate gases. Distillation is particularly important in space missions where resources are limited and recycling is necessary. The process involves heating the mixture until it reaches its boiling point, and then collecting the vapor that is produced.
