Communication Link

Communication Link refers to the physical or wireless connection between two or more spacecraft, or between a spacecraft and a ground station, that enables the exchange of data, commands, and telemetry. The communication link can be established using various technologies such as radio frequency, laser, or microwave. The quality of the communication link depends on several factors such as the distance between the spacecraft, the power of the transmitter, the sensitivity of the receiver, and the presence of any obstacles or interference in the signal path. The communication link is critical for the success of any space mission as it enables the spacecraft to receive commands from the ground, transmit scientific data and images, and provide telemetry information about its health and status.
