Biosphere
Biosphere refers to the part of the Earth's surface and atmosphere where living organisms exist. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, biosphere refers to the study of creating and maintaining self-sustaining ecosystems in space, such as those that could be used to support long-duration human spaceflight or colonization of other planets. This involves understanding the interactions between living organisms and their environment, as well as developing technologies to support the growth and survival of these ecosystems in the harsh conditions of space. Biosphere research also includes the study of the effects of spaceflight on living organisms, such as the physiological and psychological impacts of long-duration spaceflight on astronauts.
