Telescope Design

Telescope design is the process of creating and optimizing the optical, mechanical, and electronic systems that make up a telescope. This includes determining the appropriate size and shape of the primary and secondary mirrors, selecting the correct materials for the mirrors and other components, designing the mount and support structure, and choosing the appropriate detectors and electronics for the instrument. The design process also involves testing and refining the telescope to ensure that it meets its performance specifications, such as resolution, sensitivity, and field of view.
