Solar Particle Events


Solar Particle Events (SPEs) are sudden releases of high-energy particles from the Sun that can pose a significant threat to astronauts and spacecraft in space. These events are typically associated with solar flares and coronal mass ejections, and can cause radiation sickness, damage to electronic equipment, and even death in extreme cases.
