
Noise Power Spectral Density
Noise Power Spectral Density (PSD) is a measure of the power of a noise signal in the frequency domain. It describes the distribution of power into frequency components composing the noise. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, PSD is an important parameter for characterizing the noise performance of electronic systems, such as communication systems, sensors, and imaging devices. PSD is typically measured in units of watts per hertz (W/Hz) and is often used to calculate the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of a system.
