Mean Motion

Mean motion is the average angular speed of a satellite around its orbit. It is the number of complete orbits that a satellite completes in a given time period, usually measured in days. Mean motion is a fundamental parameter in satellite tracking and orbit prediction, as it allows for the calculation of the satellite's position at any given time. Mean motion is affected by various factors, including the gravitational pull of the Earth and other celestial bodies, atmospheric drag, and solar radiation pressure. It is also used to determine the altitude and inclination of a satellite's orbit.
