Maglev Trains
Maglev trains are high-speed trains that use magnetic levitation to suspend and propel the train above the tracks. The train is propelled by the repulsive and attractive forces of magnets, which eliminates the need for wheels and reduces friction. This technology allows for faster speeds, smoother rides, and lower maintenance costs compared to traditional trains. Maglev trains are currently in operation in several countries, including Japan, China, and South Korea. The fastest commercial maglev train, the Shanghai Maglev, can reach speeds of up to 430 km/h (267 mph).
