LCD
LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. It is a type of flat panel display commonly used in spacecrafts and satellites. LCDs are preferred over other types of displays because they are lightweight, consume less power, and have a longer lifespan. The display works by using liquid crystals that are sandwiched between two polarizing filters. When an electric current is applied, the crystals align to allow light to pass through and create an image. LCDs are commonly used in spacecrafts for displaying telemetry data, images, and video. They are also used in control panels and displays for scientific instruments.
