Functional Tests

Functional tests are a type of testing that evaluates the performance of a system or component based on its intended function. In aerospace engineering, functional tests are used to verify that a spacecraft or aircraft is operating as expected and meeting its design requirements. These tests are typically conducted in a simulated environment that mimics the conditions the system will encounter during its actual operation. Functional tests can include a wide range of evaluations, such as testing the propulsion system, communication systems, navigation systems, and other critical components. The results of functional tests are used to identify any issues or defects that need to be addressed before the system is deployed or launched.
