CT Scanners
CT (Computed Tomography) Scanners are medical imaging devices that use X-rays and computer algorithms to produce detailed images of the body's internal structures. In CT scanning, a narrow beam of X-rays is directed at the body and as the beam passes through the body, detectors on the opposite side of the scanner measure the amount of radiation that passes through the body. The data collected is then processed by a computer to create cross-sectional images of the body. CT scanners are used to diagnose and monitor a wide range of medical conditions, including cancer, heart disease, and traumatic injuries. They are also used in radiation therapy planning and guidance during surgical procedures.
