Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers

CFRPs are manufactured using various techniques, including hand layup, filament winding, and automated fiber placement. The properties of CFRPs can be tailored by changing the fiber orientation, the type of polymer matrix, and the manufacturing process. However, CFRPs are expensive and difficult to repair, which limits their use in some applications.
